RDS Gives Back

RDS continues it's support of the United Way

Each year the employees of RDS donate time and money to further the mission of the United Way. Through events such as the balloon’o’gram and the pancake breakfasts, the RDS team helps the Central Alabama United Way reach their yearly goals.

When you help the Red Cross, you help save lives!

RDS employees had an opportunity to learn the skills needed to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive during an on-site training course taught by the Birmingham area chapter of the Red Cross. This course covers first aid and adult CPR in an approach that complements adult learning styles, featuring hands-on practice and real-life scenarios.

Give Blood - It's About Life

RDS held its Fourth Annual Blood Drive on Thursday, June 7, 2007. Blood collected from the event went to the American Red Cross. Participants received a free T-shirt and enjoyed refreshments.

“RDS is excited to involve the Birmingham community and help save lives,” said Kennon Walthall, president of RDS.  “As a company, we’ve held a blood drive for the last three years in hopes of benefiting the Red Cross and building a stronger Birmingham.”
